What if the future was in the towers? While we believed that this model could not work well, the new towers are changing our minds with daring achievements! If the idea of living in a tower can make you chilly and evokes for many the difficult suburbs, there are models where living together becomes obvious! We can for example say that Le Corbusier laid the foundations of a harmonious tower with its famous Cité Radieuse in Marseille. There are well thought out homes, a grocery store but also a school and other sports facilities for example in order to make the tower a real place to live. Although nicknamed the Maison du fada, this residential unit is today the key to a successful tower! And as much to say that we are still inspired by it. Among the latest achievements, we can cite as an example the spectacular London Bridge Tower (The Shard) in London which is currently the tallest tower in the European Union. Not yet finished, she plans to mix the different activities to make it a model of success. Thus, we can find a hotel, homes, offices and of course a tourist area so that different horizons rub shoulders. And the model is spreading throughout Europe since in Paris, La Défense will host in 2018 two towers which will also mix apartments, offices and leisure on 85 floors! For now, apartments of this type of tower are still dedicated to luxury because of their panoramic view, but who knows what the future holds for us? Maybe one day we will all live in towers! In the meantime, the good news is that the new towers are also real architectural jewels which can be enjoyed right away thanks to tourist spots that offer breathtaking views of the cities. Before you can visit the Parisian towers of famous architect Norman Foster in a few years, you can already go to London to visit The View from The Shard which is breathtaking!
