The September 2013 edition of the Maison & Objet trade fair is an opportunity to discover the fall-winter collections of the major textile signatures. Colors and materials are available according to trends: urban, nature or more classic. Always carried by positive energy, the watchword of the year in decoration, the creators offer a wide range of bed linen, cushions, throws and blankets.
Bed linen follows the urban rhythm
With its "Authentic" collection, in beige cotton satin framed in gray or blue, the American brand Lexington gives the bedroom warm and reassuring autumn tones. The urban style, yes, but gently! The same goes for the Italian Bellora, whose bed linen displays beige, blue-gray or pale blue hues mixed with white in streaks, stripes or tiles. We increase the tempo at Bluebellgray with extra large patterns and bright colors for a frenzied urban rhythm, just like at Flamant which offers dynamic color duets (plum / beige, chocolate / petrol blue ...).
Bed linen tames nature
Linen, bamboo, natural silk, organic cotton or hemp: natural materials, respectful of the environment, are more and more popular with designers. Decopur or Lissoy, linen specialist, bet on washed linen, obtained through high temperature washes with eco-friendly fabric softeners. It is available in many colors and finishes: aged, patinated appearance… A natural trend that does not, however, sacrifice comfort with cashmere or mohair blankets (Vian-Tiran brown, Alpi Cashemere), alpaca plaids, ornaments silk bed…
The neo-classical enters the room
Sophisticated but not stilted this neoclassical trend! If lace, embroidery and even pearls and fur are part of it, we reinvent the classic without giving up the simplicity that makes its charm. The Blumarine linens collection takes on this trend with a Prussian blue velvet cover and cushions, while at Fischbacher the royal blue cotton satin sheets are adorned with silver embroidery.
